How do you reinstall Mountain lion?

Hi,

i installed mountain lion but am experiencing problems so was thinking about reinstalling it. How do i reinstall it without loosing all my files and applications or is this not possible? I read you can reinstall ML from the recovery partition but was wondering if you lose your files.

No, reinstalling won't cause you to lose your files, but it's always a good idea to have a current backup before doing anything like that.
