How do you remove Map pins?

Sorry if this is a basic question -

In Maps I have a red map pin and I can't find a way to remove it - I have an option to remove purple pins..but not on the red ones.....

Tap on the blue arrow to view the details, here you find the button to remove it!

Red Pins are there from when you've searched for something. Clear the search bar and the red pins should go.

If that doesn't work, touch the label and it goes away.
