I posted up a thread a couple of days about me breaking my ibook g4's screen. As I said before the lcd works fine but its the frame that the lcd is in that is broken, it is cracked open right above where it says "ibook g4" and you can see all the wires and such inside.

I searched on ebay and i can buy the complete screen from ebay for about $50-$100.

how would i go about taking off the current screen and replacing it with a new one? would apple put on the new screen if i brought it in to them?

any manuals on how to take off a screen?

there are sites like ifixit.com that tell you how to do it but it would be much safer if you got it done from a third party vendor that also installs the screen, maybe even get apple to do it (if you can spare the $)
