How do you reset the PMU on a mac desktop g4 mirror drive door?

I found the PMU reset button but I forgot how long you should hold it for. How long should you hold it to reset it properly?

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried resetting it and it still will not turn on. The mac will turn on even if there is no monitor connected to it right? I know a PC will but this one has one of those special monitors that receive power and video signal from one port.

So is the computer not working or is the monitor not working? If it is the computer, call Apple Care if you have any warrany left.
