Hi all

I'm trying to restore a Lion based iMac to factory settings. As you no longer get a DVD to do this, how do you go about achieving this? I've tried holding down the option key when booting to get the recovery boot option but nothing appears (it just boots into Lion). Has anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks

M.

Have you made sure the recovery partition is there??

If it is restart your mac holding command + r till you see the apple logo and you should be rocking and rolling.

Thanks. Got it now. On my MBP when I hold down the option key on boot I get a "recovery" option, which is what I was trying to do on this iMac!
