OK, I have the original box, minus the proof of purchase which I had to cut out of the side of the box. But I am hesitant to send it via mail. Anyone has had any experience shipping an Imac? Boxing it etc? Thanks!

How do you ship an Imac?

The original packaging is remarkably good at keeping the iMac in place. I checked one in with two separate very long flights and it made it okay. And you know how airlines typically treat checked baggage.
I would suggest putting "this side up" and "fragile" and hoping for the best. With of course some shipping insurance.
