How do you skin your iPhone 4? (like the lock screen?)

Hi there,

I just got my new iPhone 4 (4.2.1) and did the jailbreak and I am ready to customize the look of the phone.

I went to this thread. (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1044175/) with all these nice images and lock screens and docks. How do I do this? I tried to install snowboard and it almost screwed my iPhone up as it rebooted and it kept showing the apple sign and it took me 1 hour to finally reboot into Jailbreak mode. (that was just an aside comment)

Like for example in this thread I saw this post and like the dock on the side.

First of all, install Winterboard from Cydia then go read the threads you've linked to, most posters name the the theme and if they don't you can be sure there's a ton of people asking for a name. Install the themes and activate them via Winterboard. When you get the hang of things you install iFile from Cydia, which lets you edit files/themes to your liking.

Is there any pre-made lock screens that i can just download so i don't have to customize one myself?

Also, I downloaded some themes from Cydia but i am not sure how to customize specific parts of the theme like changing the dock or applying special themese for apps such as SBSettings>

yes just look up lockscreens in cydia.

and in order for you to customize the certain lockscreen, download ifile like whatami said.

then go to var/stash/themes.xuhyp7/[yourlockscreenname] and in there you can edit stuff but be sure you know what you are doing.

as far as sbsettings theme goes..you go to sbsettings...tap more...then themes..and your downloaded theme will be there.
