Do you think we'll be able to order the new iPhone online right after the keynote, like with the 3GS? Or will it be an in-store only release initially, like the first 2?

I would guess it'll be similar to the 3GS release, as it went quite smoothly. But that'll depend on a number of factors, including the number that they are able to manufacture in time for the release.

A poll? For this? Okay then......

I'm not going to be in a big hurry. Even though I qualify for a full discount update I want to play with my 3Gs with the new 4.0 OS for a while before deciding on whether I should buy the new phone. I could care less about a front face camera.

i will definitely be showing up on launch day for this

if it is available online I will pre-order but still show up as early as i can get there

I got my 3G around 2 months after launch and it is slowly dying
dead pixel lines, head phone jack messed up

so I am in a little bit of a rush to June

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Bad poll and worse options.

It's actually going to be a subscription model. You pay $1000 in advance (service not included); and every month you use service get $10 back. After 2 years you can choose to return the phone and get an additional $10 back or keep the phone (it becomes a brick) and forfeit all your money. :p

Yes I think Apple is evil.

You will have to go the Apple store and have a Specialist give you a demo of every single Apple product available in-store. After you have completed all 10 hours of demonstrations you are given a certificate. This certificate entitles you to purchase one iPhone 3GS+ LX.

Ditto. I don't qualify for a full discount until the end of August, so I won't be in any rush to buy the new iPhone. Plus, with owning the 3GS, it will give me the opportunity to try out all the new features on 4.0.

If they did the second option I would be mad.

I like the ability to pre-order online, and pick it up in the store. In the past only At&t has done this (to my knowledge.)

Apple allows you to "schedule" "reserve" a phone, but your not guaranteed you will get it when you arrive at the store.

Huh? I don't have a iPhone (yet) and plan on getting whatever the new sexiness ends up being. Exactly how does the pre-order/reservation thing work if you're not guarenteed anything for pre-ordering?

Or am I misreading?
