How do you transfer large video files from an iPhone 8 to a PC?

Any files larger than about 700,000 kb won't transfer and I get the error message "A device attached to the system is not functioning." Is it possible to do the usual way of dragging and dropping files or do I have to do it some other way? I know about changing to "Keep Originals" in the Photos settings but that changes the files to a different format that I would have to convert, I think. I'd like to transfer in a compatible format for PC. Thanks for any information.

"Share" the video to your files.app and put it on your iCloud drive. Get it from the drive on your pc.

And buy a Mac whenever you decide to replace your pc ;-)
