How do you turn On/Off the *nix text when starting up?

I asked this a while ago, and can't find the the thread. I turned on the gobblty gook whilst starting up my computer, and now I am giving it to my mother, and want to turn it off. Any help is appreciated!

See here... that should do the trick for you (the command lower down on the page).

In Terminal:

sudo /usr/sbin/nvram boot-args=""

Enter your admin password, and you should be good to go.
