How do you update 4.2.6 to 5.0.1 ? verizon

I have no shsh blobs, never jailbroke before how would i update to 5.0.1? I have verizon. I downloaded the ISPW for 5.0.1 and tried to update it manually and it gives an error.

Apple is no longer signing SHSH blobs for 5.0.1. Your only bet would be updating to 5.1.1.

Since you don't have SHSH blobs, updating to 5.0.1 would be impossible; therefore you can only update to the latest iOS which is 5.1.1. Sorry, dude.

No, you can't update to iOS 5.0 because you never updated to it AND you don't have SHSH blobs even if you did... And no there's no untethered jailbreak for 5.1.1 yet...
