iPad How do you update apps on iPad?

I’m wondering how to update the apps on the iPad and finding out what version the app is showing?

Say you have app like CNN or NBC how do you find out what version the app is and if the app up to date or there is newer one availabl?

How do you update the app? Is there way to force update?

Just go to the App Store, type in the name of the App and there you can check it’s version.
For any updates again go to the App Store and in the top right of the screen you will see an icon of your Apple ID. Tap on this and it opens up any Apps that require updates.

You can turn off automatic updates and update apps manually. Or you can turn on automatic updates so that you don't need to manually update each app.
