You cannot upload 720p from the iPhone itself.....
Quicktime doesnt seem to upload at 720p either ( though it does upload them )

It seems the ONLY way ( and slowest way ) is using iMovie.... ( on a mac, NOT the iMovie iphone app )

Is there any other way to upload 720p? ( not standard def videos )

It seems that the only way to upload 720p videos from iPhone 4 is to first transfer the file to your computer and then upload it to YouTube. Hopefully a future software update will enable uploading them through the phone, at least over WiFi.

I prefer Image Capture over iPhoto. Image Capture is simpler and faster and you can import right to a folder rather than an album. Then upload with the youtube online uploader. (Image Capture is found in your Applications folder)
