How do you use Apple In ear headphones warranty?

Just bought the apple in ear headphones and im wondering how I would use the one year warranty it comes with if I needed to? I dont see a serial number anywhere, how would you use it?

Normal situation would be to take faulty item with proof-of-purchase and claim warranty cover

You call apple,give then your c redit card #,they send you a new pair and you put the old ones in the same box and give then to the same UPS guy,thats it.
your credit card # is to make sure you send then back within a time.
Simple and it takes 3 days.

If you take it to the store, they will just replace them as well. Also I believe the serial number is printed on the cable.
