How do you use camera from lock screen?

Also, did the zoom feature go away on the camera? Can't seem to find that either.

Double tap the home button. It comes up on the lower right hand side (iPod controls are up top). Pinch to zoom (this one I was lost on as well).

Double hit the home button while locked, then a camera icon will appear next to the slider. Much like you would do to play audio from lock screen.

Never did. But video is recorded in 16:9 so by default you don't see the edges of your recording; you can double tap the screen to "zoom out" so that you can see the whole frame with letterboxing. Doesn't actually affect what's recorded though.
