I've seen a lot of people (and a lot of apps seem to have this as the default setting) pressing the home button twice to activate backgrounder or whatever the app may be.

For me, if I press it twice, it just takes me to the "home" page of springboard.

I looked in settings and don't see a way to disable what the double tap does...just selections for "home screen", iPod controls and search.

While an app is loaded, hold the home button till "Backgrounder Activated" pops up to activate backgrounding then let go. To disable, just repeat the same thing.

Ive changed it to where double tapping the Status Bar will enable/disable Backgrounding but it would be faster if I could get the Home button to do it.

I have been able to asign double-tap of the Home button to open SBSettings when on the Home page, but when in an app, it just takes me out of the app.
