I received my 42mm Space Gray Sport yesterday morning, and I have to say I'm overall really impressed. For a 1.0 product it feels a lot more polished than I would have thought.

The thing that surprises me most though is how I thought I would use the watch vs how I actually do use the watch. Some examples:

Before I got my watch I expected to use one watch face and stick with it. After getting it and using it I've realized using different watch faces for different activities/time of day is incredible. They made them so easy to customize and switch out that I've found myself using 3-4 different faces throughout the day.

Before I thought I would ALWAYS have it on mute/silent (who the hell wants their watch dinging, right?!). Now having it and using it throughout the day I've realized the notification noises are not nearly as obtrusive as I'd thought they'd be. Turning the volume about 1/2 — 3/4 of the way up is perfect (even at work nobody else seems to hear it).

Before, I thought the new emoji were kind of dumb. After playing around with them, I find myself sending them and scrolling through them all. There's so many variations and some of them are animated so subtly!

I'm finding that a lot of things that (to me) seemed dumb actually are awesome and it takes using them a few times to understand why...

So, what are some of your experiences? Are you finding yourself using the watch in ways you didn't expect at first, or features you had written off before using?
