In iTunes I checked both check boxes...

  • Enable disk use
  • Manually manage music and videos

When I go to finder I can only see 4 folders...

  • Calendars
  • Contacts
  • Notes
  • Photos

How do I view the entire contents of my iPod?

The music (and videos) on an iPod are stored in a hidden folder with a structure and naming format that is not human readable. You can get third-party software to read it. I don't use any of them, so I can't recommend a specific one, but there are plenty available.

It's all there in iTunes.

Oh ok.

So if I wanted to use it as a storage device I could just through files in there and not worry about where I put them?
