Delete playlists from the 5G iPod? I have about 8 On-The-Go playlists and only need about 2... Anybody know how?

How is your iPod set to get its music? Does it automatically update, update selected playlists or manually update. For the first two, delete those playlists from iTunes and they'll automatically disappear next time you plug the iPod in. For the last option (manually manage songs), delete them from underneath the iPod when it's plugged into iTunes. They'll appear alongside your other iPod playlists on the left hand side of iTunes. :)

I have it set for manual update. And im not seeing the playlists.

Click on the little arrow next to the iPod icon, it will display a full list of the playlists on the iPod, then select and delete.

Well, since i started a topic I should use it. Another question:

Can I take the songs from my iPod and transfer them to the computer?

Apple doesn't like people doing this as it encourages piracy. However, you can use a 3rd party application like iPod Rip to do it.
