How does apple care work in the Apple Watch?

If I walked out side and dropped it or i lost it how would it work ? Would I just turn up at the Apple Store and be like I broke it and get another one or?

If you damage it and previously bought the extra cost Applecare+ 2 year extended warranty, then for a fee ($70 in US) Apple will replace it, but only 2 times for damage. If you have the free standard 1 year warranty, then damage you cause is not covered. I think if you lose it, you lose it, no coverage for that either..
Apple follows the serial #, so if your watch has coverage it would show which warranty the watch has.

It won't cover lost devices. You must have a broken or damaged device to be able to swap out for the white box replacement.
