im curious if anyone knows how the Apple Watch will make calls on the sprint network? To my knowledge sprint doesn't offer voice over lte on their network (which is why there's no simultaneous talk and data) and the Apple Watch only has lte capability (or at least no cdma fallback).

Maybe this or something like it? https://www.sprint.com/en/support/solutions/services/faqs-about-calling-plus.html

Pretty clear that the AW does not offer CDMA support, so I would think it's got to be some form of VOIP calling even if it's not technically VoLTE. I'm by no means an expert on Sprint or this sort of thing.

Thanks for that link. I hadn't seen that before. It looks like that's what's going on. I was hoping that Sprint was using VoLTE, and was about to turn it on for all devices, but it looks like that was wishful thinking.
