I was wondering how exactly it works as every time i hit backup it doesn't seem to do anything?

I haven't used that in 2 years or something since I like doing things manually but as far as I remember, all it does it just remember the list of tweaks you have installed. You have to manually add in your extra sources and then click restore, then it'll start downloading and installing all your tweaks for you

I don't know if it has changed over the time I've used it. Oh, and iTunes also backs up this file aptbackup makes

When I used aptbackup to restore a few weeks ago, I did not add my repos yet it downloaded the tweaks fine. Granted, to see the repos in cydia I did add them manually, but as far as the restore goes it's pretty much automatic IIRC.
