My 2011 iMac came with a DVD which I made an image of so this is really just curiosity.

But with no thumb drive and no cd, is there a way to get your iLife apps back if you wanted to do a clean install off of a thumb drive? Are the apps installed by default if you do the net restore?

Basically just wondering how Apple makes these apps available to you as I believe they are part of the purchase package.

I did a clean installation via the Internet last weekend.

The answer is iLife will appear in your App Store's purchase section again once you log into your account. App Store will ask you if you wanna accept the iLife applications being associated to your AppleID and hardware or not.
