Have had a iMac and various other Mac bits and bobs for a while now. Just sent up my wife's account on her computer and discovered she had loads of stuff in her Bulk Mail folder. What does your computer use to decide what is bulk and how do you influence it if at all.

Cheers

If you mean spam, its up to the application you're using not the computer.

It uses certain heuristics to determine if its spam, keywords, email addresses and what not.

She might have been putting all her mail in the "bulk folder".

Or, if you are using gmail, are you taking about the archive folder?

No the folder is Bulk Mail and the computer just sticks incoming mail randomly into this folder rather than the normal Inbox

the folders look like
Bulk mail

Try verify the rules on the account. There may be one that automatically move certain emails in there.

She seem to be using yahoo? Check the web mail.

This is Mail.app right? You can add mailboxes and define rules and filters for what mailbox should be used for mails that match these rules. Try to select the mailbox and look in the settings pane under rules. You can probably also just remove the mailbox (ctrl click) which should take the rules with it, but that's a guess.
