How does the data plan work? Just pay as you go?

I got my first mobile iPad, and I paid for a data plan right through the iPad interface. It just took a debit card and wanted a username and password.

Is this how you administer the whole thing? Is there a web login, and also does this connect to my AT&T iphone account? Or do they just plan on you managing it through the iPad interface, and since it's not a contract, you just pay each month by debit?

I had though it would be connected to my AT&T iphone account, but maybe I am wrong here????

Yes yes no yes yes yes.

It's prepaid, separate from your phone contract. In some cases you can add an iPad postpaid plan but there's not typically a benefit for non business users. Use a credit card or debit, manage it on AT&T site or via iPad.
