How does the educational discount work?

Has anyone ordered something online w/ their educational discount?

I did this yesterday and all it asked for was my school name... not any "proof" that I attended...

I just want to make sure they don't say "oh you didnt prove you were a student so we're going to charge you extra now" a few weeks down the road

Thats how my purchase went when I got my 12in PB (in ancient times). Just picked my school and paid.

I've heard they do random checks for proof.

I've bought several product this way... most when I actually was in college, and a few after I was gone. Never been checked in any way. Just an FYI.

They never verify. Just order and don't worry about it.
