Isn't the computer suppose to start right when you choose to encrypt the disc? Instead all I get is a beachball. Some of the programs are accesable but it doesn't restart and it's been like this for the past 5 hours:confused:
I don't have that much on my Air so I don't think it should take this long.

It encrypts the entire drive not just the files you have. haven't tried it since i don't see much need for it, so i don't know how long it should take :S
 
I was just wondering if it's normal for it to keept running this way during the encryption process.
 
How come when I go to FileVault in preferences it says it's turned off?? If it's off then why hasn't it gone to sleep since I started the process almost 10 hours ago?
