How does the forum multi quote work?

I have tried numerous times and have been meaning to ask.......... it never seems to work and only allows the message I hit the reply button on despite having hit quote button on other posts.

Is there something obvious I am missing?

Click the "Quote" button on each person's post you want to include in the multi-quote, then in the reply box at the bottom of the page, click "Insert quotes..." That will bring up a preview of all the quotes that you can re-order (or delete individual quotes from) before inserting them.
