It's probably like the MBAs. After sleeping for an hour or so, it automatically goes into hibernation.

Why don't you run the Terminal command and find out? Or do you not have the RMBP yet? According to the article, safe sleep is the default for all Apple portables after 2005, so that would include the RMBP.
