If one unlocks their phone and takes their sim card out, the other person can put their T-mobile (or whatever) sim card in and thats it? Do you have to do anything other than restore the iphone to get rid of the phones name on iTunes or anything?
 
It's as simple as selling it, you don't need to do anything. They can change the name of the ipod from their itunes.

yes - just as hoopdy stated, there isn't much you need to do, although i recommend restoring it first to ensure all your data is erased, and then unlocking it to prepare it to be sold...

If you plan on doing this to make a profit, don't bother..

why not? it's his/her prerogative to try. i've done it. they seem to be selling fairly well on ebay still.
