¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have a 3G USB stick and share the internet connection over my Macbook's wifi.

The sharing remains on when the computer's lid is closed provided the computer is connected to a wall socket (great). The sharing is cut - presumably for power-saving reasons - when the lid is closed and the computer runs on battery.

Is there any way to ensure the internet sharing remains on when the computer runs on battery? I can't find a setting to enable this.

Many TIA

Thanks for the reply Bruno, and for suggesting NoSleep. I wasn't aware of that.

I am wondering why sharing remains on when it's running on mains, though. It's not like the computer is awake then.
