iPhone 11 Pro How good are pre-release cases

I’d like to buy a case for the 11 Pro Max with an integrated screen protector. It’s been awhile, but whenever I did, I always wound up removing the protector because it didn’t make contact with the screen that well. Also, the buttons tended to be hard to press. Are first generation cases any better now that they leak these “dummy” phones?
