How good is my old 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo?

I watch whats latest, but wonder if my 4 years old processor is still good ? Any comparisons with how better the new "i" processors are ?

The new i5 and i7 CPUs are up to four times faster in CPU intensive tasks, but a 2.4 GHz C2D CPU is still good enough for many everyday tasks.

Unless you do some hardcore video editing, gaming, etc, I doubt you would find it lacking. But if you want to speed up an old laptop, I highly recommend getting an SSD.
