Picking up my 13pro today. Want to know from others who have for their phone already about the camera. How good is it? Last year i ended up returning my 12 pro and kept pixel 5 as I liked the photos from pixel better.

Hope they've closed the gap this year. I really want to come back to iOS. Pixel 6 is still an option.

Any comments on 13 pro camera?

I jumped from a X to the 13 Pro, and I find the camera can blow out the highlights a little bit...at least that's the best way to describe it. It's amazing in soft, gentle, or low light. If there are pieces of direct light and/or reflection, you get what I think is a strange effect. Maybe my eyes are just not used to it, coming from the X. See attached, particularly in the middle, more mid-tone leaves. I've had to dial down the highlights in many of my pictures. I'd be interested in anyone's opinion (even if it's that my eyes are off...🤪)

I think I’ve you use the rich contrast profile you’ll get a lot closer to the pixel photos. I’d also recommend using ProRaw on stuff that’s important and editing it a little.

But for a phone camera, I don’t think any of the flagship phones take a bad photo these days.

I wouldn’t change just for the camera if you’re happy with the pixel, maybe see what the new pixel offers.
