How hard would it be to....

I was looking at a co-workers new Pre and liked how the screen goes side to side and up and down. How hard would it be to make the iPhone springboard do this? It does it in the photo album so it obviously can but I am ignorant on these issues. Anyone know?

As far as the Pre, it is nice for what it is. Not big on the plastic screen.... just love how the glass feels, but over all it seems like a pretty nice set up.

It'd be a hack as there's no way to do it officially.

I haven't heard of any such hack but that doesn't mean there isn't one. I can't help but think it would be quite a complicated thing to do though.
