iOS How hard would this be...

Hi,

Well I have no programming experience...nothing a bit of HTML but I lost interest.

I have an idea for an app, basically a newsreader but to read all the articles it would need a log on feature for the site.

I have a nice idea for the UI etc, just wanted to know how hard this would be as I'm starting from scratch, and where is best to start? In at the deep end with iPhone developing or start with some basic Mac stuff and move on. I want to get on with this asap as I would like my app to eventually make the app store.
