How has the iPhone saved you time and money?

For me:

1) Chase mobile deposit: deposit checks remotely and eliminate trips to go to the bank
2) Mapping: map minimum distance routes when exploring new areas
3) Time: Instead of waiting 1-2 minutes for laptop to load, I just check email in the morning almost instantly in iPhone

How has the iPhone saved you time and money?
 
The GPS has saved me many times when I've gotten lost while driving
It allows me to keep an eye on my bank account so I don't over spend
Its helped me find the names of songs that I'm listening too on the radio
It's saved me so much time when I just want to look up something, like how much does "blank" charge for take out, what time does he movie start...

I can't imagine living without it now.
 
  • The GPS saved me, COUNTLESS times!
  • Twitter has also provided me with up to date information that was crucial for me - i.e. the right timing for contests/ sign-up & stuff & local sightings for A-list celebrities. I found Zac Efron & Paris Hilton through my iPhone LOL!

Not money though, haha!
 
The barcode scanning app has saved me quite a few bucks on not-so-expensive purchases.
 
I don't have one :( I still have a 'feature phone', that is, just a phone.
 
Was traveling in a big city with mapquest directions until one of the entrances to the freeway was closed for construction. Good thing I had gps on my iphone 4, saved a lot of time from being totally lost. =D
 
Skype, skype and Skype!

I know there are probably better voip services out there but skype is reliable and cheap. We make all our international calls using skype out now so can phone most place sin the world for af ew cents a min with no flag fall. Now it can be used over 3G too.

I would say its saved us 100's of dollars.

BUT iv'e probably spent that and more in itunes and on apps...
 
Same here, maps has helped out a lot at times, checking my schedule on Pocket Informant is faster than trying to remember, the Japanese-English dictionary makes explaining what I want so much faster (I live in Japan), checking email is fast, and looking something up on the net is easier than getting home and then trying to remember the things I wanted to look up.
 
The Maps app is by far the most useful app for me. I also like how i can use safari to check out the difference in products when i am at a store.
 
Mine isn't necessarily a saving time or money thing, but the time I was most glad I had my iPhone was after hurricane Ike. I lost power and landline phone for two weeks. My iPhone was my only connection to the outside world.
 
I love the BoA app. Allows me to monitor my bank account on the go as well as transfer funds between me and my GF account if need be.
