Curious to hear from people how their iPhone 12 Pro/Max has held up caseless? Has the stainless steel scratched alot? How about the glass back?

Intrigued to see photos but not expecting them. I’m not applicable to this topic, but I had my 11 pro without a case for several months, and never a screen protector for two years. There are definitely scratches around. I’d say I take good care of my device, but they still show up. Could care less though tbh.

My roommate went careless with his 12 Pro Max since launch and its in pretty good condition. I don’t see any scratches. I myself have butterfingers so it’ll be case day one when I get the 13. I think having flat edges helps with better grip a lot.

Been caseless since the iPhone 3. Here’s my 12PM from launch day. It gets dropped a couple times a month on concrete, and I don’t baby my devices. Only replaced the screen once and the sides are holding up fine, no dents. There are a good amount of scratches and stuff but most of them are hairline except the impact locations from drops.

mine is perfect sans a couple nicks on the rear right bottom, this is because I dropped on the road. But other than that 'chef's kiss'

In the early days I was all caseless and didn't start with a case until the 6 series. I have other safe guards, through AMEX and AC+ if things get really bad. TBH, I don't like being ridiculously precious with it. It's crazy. It's a phone I use everyday. Eventually it will not be perfect. It's okay.

I’ve had mine ceaseless since December and it looks flawless. I’m a bit OCD with my phones though so it hasn’t been dropped or placed in a pocket with keys in it.

I use my phones caseless, and without a screen protector. I’ve done this since the iPhone 6 full time. I’ve had my XS for 3 years. During usage, and even under normal lighting you can’t notice one flaw. However, if you put it under direct lighting, and at the right angles, you will see some light scratches on the front and back. Nothing major.

If you take minor care of your phone, it will stay in great condition. Cases and other protection, for most people, are just a waste of money. Phones with cases can still get ruined.

Been case-less since day one of owning a smartphone, won’t ever change that. It feels so good to see and feel a phone naked. Had an OG SE and now an iPhone 8 case-less and it feels great in the hand especially because of the grippy glass back.

Hats off to everyone else rocking their phones case-less.

Me too. I won’t even put my iPhone in my pocket. I wear one of the horribly unfashionable able belt holsters lol. And won’t put it down on any surfaces other than proper phone holders.

my gold 12 pro max naked since launch day. still in very good condition just a couple of tiny scratches from dropping it a couple of times. photos shot on iPhone X:

I’m sure I would see a hairline or two if I examine your phones guys. I have magnifying eyes. Really. Haha. Scratches are unavoidable however careful/OCD you are. I can speak for myself.

Still in nearly perfect condition. I think there is a tiny scratch on one of the buttons, but nowhere else. I actually can’t even find it right now. My silver iPhone X had a ton of micro scratches on the steel. I almost looked like someone sandpapered it. But iPhone 11 Pro (green) & 12 Pro (blue) are practically flawless.
