just wondering if there are any longer term reviews from people who have had their butterfly keboards replaced under the apple repair program? the key repeating is getting so frustrating on my 2018 mbp, but i'm wary of sending away the computer for weeks only to have a repair that'll fail again in another few months.

what have others experiences been?

I'm guessing you live outside the US as my keyboard repair took less than a week from when it was shipped to Apple to when it was back. They replaced it with a working (and another inherently faulty) keyboard. I then sold the system shortly after as I wasn't about to find out if, when outside of the keyboard warranty extension, Apple charged $199 to replace the keyboard (which is the charge for replacing the battery, which includes a new keyboard) or a much larger figure (which some users with problematic keyboards were charged prior to the program.)

My old 2017 MacBook Pro was going on it's 4th keyboard in just over a year. Replacement ones were just refurbished old broken ones I'm sure. Got rid of it after that. Was a total pain to do deal with and I was usually without my laptop for 3 weeks on average. I'm sure others have had a more positive experience. I have/had a lot of Apple products over the years, but that laptop was by far the worst product I have ever had to deal with. Good luck.
