110F is nothing to a computer. That's only 43C. 30-40C is about normal for a computer when idle. With a light load. That isn't out of the norm. Browsing the web is also subjective. Some pages are loaded with scrips which can increase load. There's also multiple tabs being open. Which can affect load.

curious because mine is like 110F just browsing the web

I would suggest confirming you're in F vs C.

60-65C(!) is my general range. Certainly hotter than I would like as it's a little uncomfortable on my lap. I use a 3rd party app, TG Pro...to manually boost the fans when on my lap to make it comfortable.

Connect an external monitor...and things change dramatically...even at idle without any apps running. Much hotter, fans noise that is problematic for many tasks, etc, etc. I cannot wait to dump this machine for an ARM based machine.

"30-40C is about normal for a computer when idle." ... I agree. Unfortunately I NEVER experience that with my 16".

Watching udemy on safari + xcode open in laptop mode I'm at about 40 - 50 Celsius.
