How hot does you phone get with MyWi?

Our home internet is down so I activated MyWi on my 3GS, forwarded calls to my BB, and left it running. Assuming I have it plugged in on the counter, is there a danger of overheating? What about when no one is connected to it?

I have the peaceful insanity tethering hack and the phone does get warm after using it for a while but nothing too terrible. If no one is using the connection, then you should disconnect it altogether.
