Hi all,

I currently have a 13 " 2010 Macbook Air. It is the fully loaded system (4GB RAM and 256 HD etc.)

However, I find it too slow at running Windows 7 through Parallels. I need to run Windows 7 for work and need a well working and fast system.

Because of this I have had to install Windows 7 through Bootcamp instead and the performance is then much better.

Has anyone tried running Windows 7 through parallels on the 2011 Macbook Air yet ? how is the performance ? I would appreciate feedback..

Thanks,
Mark

It depends on what you are running. I have the 11" with the 1.8GHz Core i7.

I use Quicken 2011 and it seems fine in Parallels. I have given Windows 7 64-bit 1.75GB of RAM and 2 CPU cores, and it's pretty snappy even with Outlook and Safari in the background (but with nothing intensive going on in Safari like a Flash video).

For what it's worth the WEI under that setup in Parallels is 4.5 as follows
CPU 6.3 (vs 6.9 in Boot Camp)
RAM 5.5 (vs. 5.9)
Graphics 4.5 (vs. 5.8)
Gaming Graphics 4.5 (vs. 4.9)
HD 7.6 (vs. 6.9)

The latter is a bit of a "false" rating driven by the virtual driver.
