How is Premiere Pro + No ProRes on 2021 MacBook Pros?

Every reviewer online seems to exclusively be using Final Cut Pro with ProRes.

Anyone here use other NLEs + video codecs other than ProRes. Would love to know how good the new MacBook Pros really are when not handling proprietary software?
