How is the AT&T LTE speed in San Diego, CA?

I'm sorry if I had to post this in the iPad section of the forum in deciding whether I should switch to Verizon when I buy the iPhone 5? My iPhone 4 3G signal is so bad in downtown San Diego area and so my question is to those who have the AT&T LTE iPad and in downtown area, how is your experience when it comes to signal speed? Or how about those with Verizon LTE iPad, what is your experience? I hope to hear from anyone before midnight tonight where I need to preorder the iPhone 5. Thanks.

It's ridiculously fast. I'm getting almost 20mb down.

Used it in the airport couple weeks ago. 20+ down, 15 up. Not bad inside building, only 1 LTE bar. Who knows what that means.
