How is the battery life on your RMBP?

Mine just got 5 hours and 30mins for just simple web browsing with safari. There is no way near the "7 hours" they claimed. I had the gfxcardstatus on but that didn't help much. So should I return it and get a new one? Thanks for the advices :)
 
With my setup I was only expecting to get 5 hours or so but I got 6 hours out of my battery before(internet use), and that was right out of the box... Pretty darn good if you ask me IMO.
 
I personally think returning it is overkill. Be happy that you got 5 and a half hours. No one will ever get the 7 hours unless they turn off wifi and the brightness and probably only use a word processor. or just move your cursor around the screen for 7 hours.
 
We live in an OCD society. Apple claiming 7 hours when you actually get 5 hours is a deal breaker? None of the other features and excellence of the machine matter to you?

Wow. Just wow.

In what way? If you had read what I suggested, you wouldn't be expecting to get the same battery life as Apple advertises. And what suggestions for maximizing your battery life don't fit for you? You obviously haven't tried them all.
 
I don't have my rMBP yet, but 5 hours just browsing doesn't seem all that great. Engadget was able to get 7 and 9 hours with the 2.6 and 2.3 configurations, respectively.

It's more likely that Apple Store employees call your BS and say "you're doing it wrong".
