I heard all you had to do was stay standing up for one minute for the stand fulfillment.
However now I’m also reading that one must walk around for a minute so it can be counted.
I’m not trying to cheat the system, just wondering why my standing for a minute next to my bed (like a sucker) isn’t being counted.

As others have said, The goal of that feature is to make people get up and move every hour. So just standing is not going to help.

You need to move your hand, not just standing there.
Yea - you don't need to move around. You can even lay down and just wave your arm in the air for about a minute and it will count.

Sometimes I'll get a stand hour riding my motorcycle - and even my car.

I really don’t get the point of this. I mean what’s the point of having it count when you’re actually not doing the expected activities? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You arm actually needs to be down at your side, or swinging like when you're walking.

I work at a job in a lab where I'm standing for hours at a time, but if I have my hands in front of me working at the bench, my watch has no idea that the rest of me is standing, so I'll still get the warning at HH:50 that I need to "stand up for a minute!"
