General How is the iOS untethered jailbreak?

Is there such a thing yet? Does it work well (battery life, etc)? Does it work with iPad 2 and 4s?

And lastly... Is the old google maps portable to ios 6?

Only for the old bootrom 3GS there is an ios 6 untethered JB.
New bootrom 3GS and iphone 4 is tethered.
No JB at all for the 4S or ipad on 6.0 yet.
