What did Apple do to the Lightning Connector that prevents it from getting damaged by water? Water can obviously get into it but why won't it matter?

Apple is saying that getting water on these contact will not harm the phone. I would not plug it in to charge it right after swimming but they are saying the water will not harm the contacts.

That means that occasional bit of vinegar will not harm your iPhone 7.

That was a nice reference to my previous post.

Reactions: Newtons Apple
Recall a while back (2 years or so) Apple confirmed that the Lightning connector was water-resistant. They've now completed that loop.
