How is the sound quality of the Apple earpods (wired one)? Compared to Apple's airpod? Is there any information or truth about this?

I'd like to get one with lightning connector, is it good?

Edit: Sorry but how long is the cable?

Another question: someone in the secondhand market claims that his lightning earpods came with his new iPhone but which iPhone once came with free lightning earpods??

They're actually pretty good and above average in terms of included headphones that used to come with our phones.

I had EarPods with the mm headphone jack connected to an adapter and compared it to a lightning EarPods version and the lightning EarPods sounded quite a bit better (and louder).

I think having wired lightning EarPods is important to have because there are no batteries or charging needed

yes, without batteries and charging, it's the reason that I want to go for the wired one

I have quite a few lightning earpods that came with phones. I feel like they came with phones up until a few years ago. I know they didn’t always have lightning, and they came with an adapter, but then they switched to lightning. I can’t remember exactly when it was, but I know I have several pairs, and I have never bought earpods separately.

From someone who really cares about audio quality for phone calls, online meetings, etc.: wired is always superior. Always. Even if your bluetooth audio headset/IEMs cost many hundreds of dollars, a cheapie wired headset will sound better. And if you have a quality wired headset with a quality boom mic? It's going to sound much better.

This is especially true with cell/smart phones, but it's also true of desktops/laptops as well. This has been consistent, and true, for many years. And I tell you this because, if you are looking for a good quality headset for calls/meetings, don't waste your money on bluetooth. Don't. Stick with wired, save the money. And if you need a good business-quality headset, take a look at the Sennheiser SC 665; if you get the 3.5mm jack it works perfectly with lightning adapter, or you can get USB. Amazing mic on this headset, super-comfortable, sounds amazing, can wear it all day (which I do).

My favorite wired listening device are the JVC Flats on-ear headphones. Very lightweight and sound great for the price (about $15 USD on Amazon). Come in different colors. The connector is a mini plug but I just use the mini plug to Lightning adapter from apple, never an issue.
These are strictly basic headphones, no built in mic, etc.
I always keep a s pare, unopened pair in my stash as they are getting harder to find.

I also have a pair of wired Beats headphones, Bluetooth JVC headphones, and 4 pairs of Bluetooth earbuds.
