New iPad4, couple of weeks old. Still learning.

Settings -> General -> Usage reports:

USAGE is 16 hours 53 minutes (during this time watched one 2 hr. video and listened to a lot of Mozart).

STANDBY is 2 days 2 hours

Battery icon shows 16% remaining.

I do turn it off when not in use (typically the overnight periods).

2hr video is what did it. That is processor and battery intensive.

Same reason my iPad mini reads 16 hrs, 10 days standby with 15%.

The meter is off.
